Creating a Speech Assignment can be tedious. We are more than happy to create assignments for you, just reach out to us and we will create your assignments as quickly as possible.
From the Work page inside a class, click the "+New" button in the top right corner.
Click "Speech Assignment."
Give the assignment a name.
To add Outline & Speaking Notes, check the corresponding box.
Assign a due date for the Outline & Speaking Notes, this is required.
Assign a point value for the Outline, this is required even if it is zero.
Give your students directions for this assignment, if needed.
Assign a point value for Speaking Notes.
To add Speech Practice, check the corresponding box.
Assign a due date, this is required.
Assign a point value, this is required even if it is zero.
Give your students directions for this assignment, if needed.
To add Visual Aids, check the corresponding box.
Assign a due date, this is required.
Assign a point value, this is required even if it is zero.
Give your students directions for this assignment, if needed.
To add Speech Video, check the corresponding box.
Assign a due date, this is required.
Assign a point value, this is required even if it is zero.
Give your students directions for this assignment, if needed.
If you'd like for every student in the class to have access to every other student's Speech Video, check the "Class View Videos" box.
To add an Instructor Evaluation, check the corresponding box.
In the Template Library, select the evaluation form you'd like to use.

To add a Self Review, check the corresponding box.
Assign a due date, this is required.
Assign a point value, this is required even if it is zero.
Give your students directions for this assignment, if needed.
In the Template Library, select the Self/Peer Review form you'd like to use.
To create a new Self/Peer Review form, see this article.
To add a Peer Review, check the corresponding box.
In the first box, assign the number of reviews each student will need to complete for this speech.
Notes:
Until students have joined the class, you can only set this value to be 1. You can adjust this once students have joined the class.
You can only assign up to the number of students in the class less one for each speech. Example: 15 students in a class, students can only review 14 peers.
You will assign students to specific peers to review later.
In the second box, assign a point value for each review.
Notes:
This is required, even if it is zero.
Each review has a point value associated with it. Example: You want each student to complete two reviews for a total of 30 points. The value you would enter would be 15. 2 Reviews x 15 Points Per Review = 30 Total Points.
Give your students directions for this assignment, if needed.
In the Template Library, select the Self/Peer Review form you'd like to use.

To add Peer Quick Responses, check the corresponding box.
In each of the four boxes, type in a criterion that you'd like students to anonymously score when their peer is speaking.
