Speech Assignments can be converted into group-based assignments. Group assignments have several unique attributes:
Students in a group share a single Outline & Speaking Notes, Visual Aids, and Speech Video. Students can work on these portions of a speech assignment individually in a collaborative nature. Only one student can make edits at a time. Students share a single grade for Outline, Speaking Notes, Visual Aids, and Speech Video each.
Speech Practice is not available on group assignments.
Students have individual Self and Peer Reviews. Students within a group cannot review a peer in their own group. Students receive individual grades for Self and Peer Reviews.
Students in a group share a single Instructor Evaluation form. All grades and comments entered on the Instructor Evaluation are available to all students in the group.
Note: Once a speech has been converted into a group-based assignment, it cannot be converted back into an individual speech assignment. If a student has already begun work on the assignment individually, conversion to a group-based assignment could result in data loss. We recommend converting speech assignments to group-based assignments prior to the period a student would be working on the speech.
Note: File Submission/Upload Assignments cannot be group-based assignments.
